Ages: 13 to 18 Discover a unique way of printmaking in this hands-on camp designed for teens! Explore Gelli plate techniques, create custom stencils, and experiment with color layering to produce multi-textured artworks. Perfect for young artists looking to expand their creative skills in a fun and engaging environment! Important note: This camp will be hands-on and can be messy! Students should wear old clothes or bring an apron to protect their clothing while working with paint and printmaking materials. We recommend campers bring a reuseable water bottle and daily lunch. Ages: 13 to 18 In this camp, teens will learn how to paint models and miniatures for display, tabletop gaming, and model trains. Color theory, lighting, brushwork, technical paints, and alternative methods will be combined to create effective figures and scenes. Students will be provided with all required materials and models but may bring their own miniatures if they prefer. Important Note: We recommend campers bring comfortable shoes and clothing, a reusable water bottle, and daily snacks. If your camper loves to get messy, we suggest a second set of clothes.

June Fairy Camp

This popular three-day camp is returning this summer with more fairies, flowers, and creative fun for youth ages 5 to 8. Young learners will enjoy making a variety of fairy-themed artworks. Laura Bocquin is a local artist and educator who teaches studio art and art history at Montgomery Academy's Upper School. Her previous career in museum education at MMFA allowed her to share her love of flowers and all things botanical art with the greater River Region community, teaching studio classes and leading workshops for learners of all ages.
