Join us for our summer ArtTalk! Visual artists of all experience levels and disciplines are invited to bring one piece of artwork in any stage of development for an informal community critique. In honor of Juneteenth, we encourage African-American artists and members of the African Diaspora to share their visual art, participate in the critique, and interact with community interpretations of their work. Refreshments will be provided.

Step into a world where art meets style at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts’ Teen Fashion Camp. Designed for creative teens, this immersive camp explores fashion as a form of artistic expression, cultural storytelling, and design innovation. Participants will find inspiration in works from the Museum’s galleries while learning the fundamentals of fashion design. Through hands-on projects, collaborative challenges, and guided discussions, teens will develop their own unique fashion concepts and gain confidence in expressing their personal style in a supportive, creative museum setting.

Spend a creative week at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts exploring painting with artist Alisa Beck. Designed for teens of all experience levels, this immersive camp invites participants to experiment with color, composition, and personal expression while learning foundational and advanced painting techniques. Whether refining technical skills or pushing creative boundaries, students will leave with finished paintings, new confidence, and a deeper understanding of painting as both a craft and a powerful form of self-expression.

Designed for ages 9 to 12 Young artists will explore how color and design bring artwork to life in this hands-on junior camp. Through gallery looking and creative studio activities, campers will learn elements of art such as color, line, shape, and texture. Using a variety of materials and techniques, participants will experiment with bold color choices and thoughtful composition while creating works inspired by art in the Museum’s collection. This camp encourages creativity, visual problem-solving, and artistic decision-making.

Designed for ages 5 to 8 Campers will discover how artists have been inspired by the natural world in this immersive junior camp focused on nature in art. Through guided gallery experiences and hands-on art-making, campers will experiment with color, texture, and composition while creating their own nature-inspired works. This camp encourages close observation, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for the beauty of the environment through art.

Designed for ages 5-8 Looking for the perfect way to spark your child’s creativity this summer? The MMFA is excited to host art camps, offering a unique blend of fun, learning, and artistic exploration. Important note: We recommend campers bring comfortable shoes and clothing, a reusable water bottle, and daily snacks.

July 6th through July 10th from 8:30 AM to 12 PM Designed for ages 9 to 12 Art Explorers Camp Young artists will explore the magic of art with a variety of media, including painting, drawing, collage, and sculpture. Campers will use their imaginations as they explore several different art making techniques and develop their artistic skills. This camp is perfect for budding artists who love to create, imagine, and explore!
