Join us for a lively puppet-making experience inspired by the imaginative works of Alabama-born artist Bill Traylor. Phil Jasen, who is both a professor at Alabama State University and a creator and performer of shadow puppets, will lead a special demonstration exploring how puppets can bring stories and characters to life. Following the demo, families will have the opportunity to create their own puppets and craft original stories, drawing inspiration from Traylor’s bold shapes, dynamic figures, and storytelling spirit. This hands-on workshop invites families of all ages to celebrate creativity, community, and the power of imagination through art. |
