Classical Drawing in Graphite Workshop with Tessa Tallakson

Join artist Tessa Tallakson for a 2-day drawing workshop. This class is geared towards ages 16 and up. **ONE REGISTRATION RESERVES A SPOT FOR BOTH DAYS. Day 1: 8/17/24 10:30-3:00 Day 2: 8/18/24 1:00-5:00 Day one: Students will begin with a discussion about the importance of materials, how to sharpen a pencil to a needle point, the use of mirrors for drawing, and how to use a knitting needle to measure. Day two: Students will begin with a demo on how to refine the block in, make more measurements, clean up the drawing, and clarify the shadow shapes. Finally, a step-by-step guide on how to create depth and volume in their drawings. This class is free and materials are provided by the MMFA. The Registration Hold Fee will be refunded on the first day of the workshop. There are limited seats available for this class.
